Let’s face it—without God, forgiveness isn’t easy. Why? Because our humanity causes us to want to keep score, to make others accountable for the hurt we feel. But unforgiveness only manipulates us and allows others to be in control of our emotions. The fact that Christ first forgave us is what gives us the courage and power to choose to forgive. That’s what it’s all about—receiving God’s love so that others may get to know Him, too.
