Rainbow Village is a transitional housing program for homeless families with children. It has incorporated an adult mentoring program called Circles Gwinnett as a way to connect the community to our mission. Circles Gwinnett is a mentoring modeled program designed to engage the community to learn about ways to end poverty. Community volunteers have the opportunity to share their knowledge, experience, and get to know families in our program.

Mentors are needed to assist Rainbow Village adults in achieving his/her goals to move out of poverty. Mentors have an intentional friendship with adult residents offering coaching, problem-solving help, modeling unwritten rules and social norms of education and the workplace and offering encouragement and support. This volunteer opportunity is best suited to those who can commit to a long term (18 month) commitment and be available 6 – 10 hours per month. Training is provided and required as well as a background check.
