Growing up and becoming an adult can be a scary thought – even more so for parents than teenagers. The thought of having less control over outside influences, your child gaining increasing independence…where did the time go?
Camp Prime equips students and gives them a place to create lasting friendships with others who will help them along the way – setting your child on a path toward a life of significance.

DROP-OFF & PICK-UP
- Norcross – Drop-off is happening on Friday, March 16th from 5:30 – 6:15pm at the Middle School building (where your kids are normally dropped off for The City service). Pick-up is happening on Sunday, March 18th and will begin at 1:30pm at the same location as drop-off.
- Hamilton Mill – Drop-off is happening on Friday, March 16th from 5:30 – 6:15pm at the Children & Youth building (where your kids are normally dropped off for The City service). Pick-up is happening on Sunday, March 18th and will begin at 1:30pm at the same location as drop-off.
What to Bring:
- ONE small piece of luggage (Please DO NOT pack more than one)
- Clothes – enough for two days
- Tennis Shoes
- Jacket or Hoodie (for nights)
- Toiletries (Shampoo, soap, shower slippers etc.)
- Bible and Journal (if you have one)
- Bedding (either sheets and comforter or a sleeping bag)
- Flashlight and batteries
- Snacks (there is no refrigerator)
- Umbrella/rain jacket
- Any necessary medications
(Will need to be turned in at registration by a parent)
What NOT to bring:
We CANNOT be responsible for lost or stolen belongings. (please leave all valuables at home).
- Electronics (IPods, Tablets, Computers, etc.)
- We ask that all iPODs, Tablets, and laptops be left behind this weekend.
- We promise to have a bunch of great stuff to fill your time.
- Weapons / Illegal substances
What is the refund policy?
We will gladly issue a refund for notifications at least 14 business days prior to the event. After that point, the location will be paid for your students lodging as well as transportation. Refunds would be on an exception basis of an unforeseen emergency. If you are within the 14 day window, please consider offering your registration to another student.
Are there scholarships available or any type of financial assistance?
We do understand how cost can impact a family’s decision for their student to attend. With that, financial assistance is on a need only basis, and is solely dependant on donations made to the event. At times, we receive donations to the ministry for students in need from those in the congregation. When that happens, we can then pass some assistance on to the student(s). This is again based on need and availability of funds, and so there is NO guarantee that funds will be available. Please contact the event organizer for additional questions.
I made a deposit online. Can I make my additional payment(s) online?
No. Eventbrite does not allow partial payments as it sells tickets. So any remaining payments must be made in person at any City service. If you are unable to make it to a City service before the trip, you can pay your balance at check-in.
I registered my student, but I noticed there was no question regarding parental consent. Is that required?
Yes. We do require a consent form to be complete PRIOR to the student being allowed on the bus. If we do not have one on file for your student, you will be asked to complete one at check-in. Consent forms can be picked up at any City service or download online at https://victoryatl.com/thecity/campprime/.
What about my student’s medication?
On the day of registration, we have an onsite nurse’s station. If your student requires accountability for their medication, you will be able to drop if off to the nurse at that time. During the camp, the nurse is set up at all meals time and services in efforts of connecting with your student for medication usage. When you come to pick up your student, you can pick up any unused medication from the staff at that time. Medication dropped off by a parent to the nurses station, will ONLY be returned to an adult.

Can I drop my student at the campground or meet you there?
Because of the layout and set-up that we have, we will NOT be able to accommodate an at-site registration. You will need to have your student arrive at the Norcross or Hamilton Mill campus to take the buses.
What are the lodging assignments?
All the cabins are separated by gender; hence all girls will be in one cabin with female leaders and the same for the boys. The Students are grouped by their small group. There are approximately 28 to 34 people per cabin quad.
Will I be able to contact my student while they are there?
Although we DO NOT encourage students bringing expensive items that can grow feet and walk away, we do understand the parents need to stay connected with their student. We would encourage the parents to get the contact number for the small group leader that will be in the cabin with your student. We will also be sending out an info sheet about 2 weeks prior to the event for those who are registered. There will be an emergency contact on the sheet. At check-in you will receive a info card that will have direct info for the main point of contact.
My student has special needs, can they still participate?
We love to partner with families of students with Special Needs for many of our on church campus events. Because of the nature of the retreat, we ask that you contact us PRIOR to registering your student.
What is the student/leader ratio at the camp?
The only way we can do our retreats is with the help of our Small Group leaders. In keeping in tradition of all of our youth retreats, we will be having 1 leader for every 2 to 3 students. We will have a combination of staff, Atlanta Leadership College students, adult small group leaders, and upperclass high school leaders. Every leader in attendance is someone that is currently serving in the City at either VHM or the Norcross campus.
Can parents come?
Although many times this is a big transition for the parent as much as it is for the student, we encourage the parent to allow the student to experience making new friendships and creating small group community on their own. In addition, all of our leaders are background checked and are already acclimated to the culture at The City and working with this age group. At this time parents are not able to attend, unless there are extenuating circumstances.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
If you register for one student and decide to offer it to another, please let us know at least 7 business days before the event to allow for all of the necessary updates to take place for lodging, etc.
Can I update my registration information?
Yes. Please contact the organizer with the updated information at least 7 business days prior to the event.
Where do I drop my student off at?
Great question! If you are located at the Norcross campus, doors open on Friday, March 16th at 5:30pm in the Middle School building. This is the same location, you would drop you student off for weekly service (5985 Financial Dr, Norcross GA). If you are at Hamilton Mill Campus, you will drop your student off at the Hamilton Mill location: 3015 Pucketts Mill Rd. Buford, GA 30519.
**Please note: Pickup will be at the same location as drop off on Sunday approximately 2pm at each campus.**
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Your printed ticket is NOT required.
How soon can I expect to hear back from the event organizer regarding my questions?
We welcome your questions! Because this can be a very busy season, please allow up to 72 hours for a reply.
