Visioneering: the engineering of a vision; the process whereby ideas
and convictions take on substance; the course one follows to turn
dreams into realities
Vision: having the ability to see beyond what is and to cause to come
to pass what should be
Proverbs 29:18 KJV
Where there is no vision, the people perish…
Proverbs 29:18 NKJ
Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint…
Four Things Happen with Vision:
- Passion
- Motivation
- Direction
- Purpose
Starting Points to Visioneering:
- God’s vision begins at the cross.
Matthew 10:38-39 NKJ
“And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy
of me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for
My sake will find it.” - Vision takes form as a concern.
“Visions are born in the soul of a person who is consumed with the
tension between what is and what could be.”
Acts 1:8 NKJ
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon
you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea
and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” - Vision comes from hearing the voice of God.
Romans 8:14 NKJ
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
1 Corinthians 2:9-10 NKJ
But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have
entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for
those who love Him.” But God has revealed them to us through His
Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
Three Primary Ways to Sensitize Yourself to God’s Voice:
- Reading and meditating on the Word
- Prayer
- Fasting
- Visioneering is a process that takes time and patience to develop.
Habakkuk 2:2-3 NCV
The Lord answered me: “Write down the vision; write it clearly on clay
tablets so whoever reads it can run to tell others. It is not yet time for
the message to come true, but that time is coming soon; the message
will come true. It may seem like a long time, but be patient and wait
for it, because it will surely come; it will not be delayed.”
