Frequently Asked Questions

What is a house church?

A House Church is a spiritual family of everyday people who live on Mission to bless their neighbors; Worship together, and experience Community with each other. They are the Church.

What is the difference between a small group and a house church?

A House church has the minimum elements of a church: Mission, Worship, and Community and may have its own small groups. A small group is a smaller part of a church. This type of group typically gathers together around a particular interest or area of study and is not required to be led by a pastor.

What are some of the responsibilities of a house church planter?

A house church planter will show weekend services and will take on the responsibility of shepherding others as they grow spiritually, to create environments where people can connect with Jesus and worship together. This also means praying for neighbors and those in your community, listening to others, sharing meals together, serving, and providing care for those around you.

Will there be training for house church planters?

Yes, we will resource you with everything you need to know. Please sign up via the interest form for more information and training dates.

Do I have to be a member of Victory?

To become a Victory House Church you must be a member and in agreement with our statement of faith. Those who lead a Victory House Church will receive training and on-going developmental coaching through Victory.

Does it matter where I live? Is it possible to start a house church anywhere?

No, it does not matter where you live. You may plant a house church anywhere. If you are not near a physical Victory Campus then our Victory Online Campus will serve as your hub (sending campus). We encourage you to join an upcoming interest meeting to learn more.

I am interested in being a part of a house church but not necessarily planting one. What should I do?

Please sign up and join us at one of our upcoming interest meetings.

What is the difference between a house church and church on Sunday or online campus?

The church is the body of believers. Sundays are worship services or gatherings. The difference between a House Church or a Victory Campus is the location you choose to gather for worship and the format of worship in that particular location. Online Campus serves those who are unable to attend a physical Victory location or those who connect with Victory Church virtually and call Victory their church family.
