21-Day Fast 2023 – Day 21

Pause

We’ve reached the final day of 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting! We hope you’ve come to know Jesus better throughout this time—that your ability to hear Him and trust in Him have grown more fully.  

Pause to reflect on what God has done in your heart during these 21 days. Has He changed the way you think about an aspect of His character? Have you gained a greater understanding of how He sees you? 

Invite God into this moment as we celebrate these past few weeks of digging deeper and intentionally focusing on Him and His Word.

Matthew 7:24-29 NIV

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”  

When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law. 


Walk with God

Jesus concludes His famous Sermon the Mount with these verses. What about them is God highlighting to you? 

Using the same illustration Jesus used, what foundation would you say your own house is built on? How is God leading you to continue growing in the areas of studying His Word and prayer going forward? 

We’d love to hear what God is doing in your life! Would you take a moment to share a personal story of God’s goodness or how spending time with Him through prayer and fasting has impacted you?  

You may be ready to take your next step through baptism, joining a small group, or some other way the Lord is leading you. Wherever you are, take One Step.
