One of the biggest traps of the enemy is to use hurt, pain, and wounds to keep us bound to offense and discouragement. Hebrews 12:1-2 NIV
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us THROW OFF everything that HINDERS and the SIN that so easily entangles. And let us RUN with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. FOR THE JOY set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.   

“For the JOY set before me, I will THROW OFF HURT and I will PURSUE HEALING.

Run” –  (trékhō)

to make progress or to advance swiftly. In the athletic context, it emphasized the idea of continuous effort without turning back or stopping.

Race” –  (agṓn) strenuous effort, intensity.

This is where the English word “agony” is derived from.  

Sin derails us, unresolved HURT betrays us!

The biggest trap Satan places before the believer is to get them to doubt the Power of the Cross, the Power of God, and the Freedom that Christ brings.

Isaiah 41:10 (ESV)
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
