What is Salvation?

by Johnson Bowie
When you think about salvation, what comes to mind first? If your answer is heaven, you aren’t wrong…but there is so much more! Jesus made a way for us to spend eternity with Him—but He also came to bring abundant life here and now. In this message, be reminded that the Lord sees our emptiness and longs to fill it. If you’ve ever felt broken, weary, or hopeless, come to Jesus. He will never ask you to surrender something costly without offering something better in return.
Sermon Notes

John 4:13-22 NLT
“Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.” “Please, sir,” the woman said, “give me this water! Then I’ll never be thirsty again, and I won’t have to come here to get water.” “Go and get your husband,” Jesus told her. “I don’t have a husband,” the woman replied. Jesus said, “You’re right! You don’t have a husband— for you have had five husbands, and you aren’t even married to the man you’re living with now. You certainly spoke the truth!” “Sir,” the woman said, “you must be a prophet. So tell me, why is it that you Jews insist that Jerusalem is the only place of worship, while we Samaritans claim it is here at Mount Gerizim, where our ancestors worshiped?” Jesus replied, “Believe me, dear woman, the time is coming when it will no longer matter whether you worship the Father on this mountain or in Jerusalem. You Samaritans know very little about the one you worship, while we Jews know all about him, for SALVATION comes through the Jews.”

Maybe you made a decision to follow Jesus today, or maybe you’re curious what life with Him is all about. Wherever you are on your journey, we invite you to share with us so we can help you discover your next step.

It's easy to trust God when the answers to our prayers come quickly. But what happens when we're waiting for Him to move—and nothing seems to be changing? Throughout John, we've seen Jesus perform powerful signs and wonders, from a miracle at a wedding to clearing the temple courts. Yet, one of His greatest miracles may be the one we don't immediately see. This week, we learn what it looks like to have faith in the midst of the waiting, and to trust Him through the tensions of everyday life.   Living Between the Promise and the Proof | Victory Church Pastor Andrew “Mo” Momon Scripture | John 4:43-54 June 14, 2026

We will remember the person who introduced us to Jesus for the rest of our lives. Their faith helps lead us into His presence, where our own is watered, nurtured, and strengthened until it becomes something we can truly call our own. It’s a beautiful process to behold. If we aren’t intentional though we can remain in a season that was only meant to be temporary. In this message, we explore the Father’s heart for our spiritual maturity and what it looks like to seek Him personally and develop a faith that is truly our own.
