Once You Discover This Truth:
• It begins to deliver you from fear and worry.
• It sets you free from prejudice. (In fact, it will change the core of
how you view people.)
• It delivers you from strongholds that try to control your mind.
• It changes your personality and the way you relate to people.
• It will start to heal you from anxiety and depression, and you will
start to deal with the difficulties in life completely differently!
• It creates in you a whole new way of thinking about yourself
and what you can do with your life!
What is this truth? NEW IDENTITY.
Identity: knowing who you really are
Your IDENTITY determines your DESTINY!
Most People’s Identity Is Wrapped Up In:
• Their sexuality
• Their race
• Their career
• Their relationships
• Their abuse
• Their failures
4 Basic Needs of Life:
Acceptance: knowing you are loved and needed
Security: knowing you are protected and provided for
Purpose: knowing your reason for living
Identity: knowing who you are and that you are significant
Renovation of Your Identity:

  1. Allow Christ to take over your identity.
    2 Corinthians 5:16-17 NLT
So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At
one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view.
How differently we know him now! This means that anyone who
belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a
    new life has begun!
Question: Do you like who you really are right now?
    Galatians 2:20 NKJV
“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ
in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh by faith in the Son of
God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
    Galatians 2:20 TPT
“My OLD IDENTITY has been co-crucified with Messiah and no
longer lives; for the nails of his cross crucified me with him. And now
the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One
lives his life through me—we live in union as one! My new life is
empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much
that he gave himself for me, and DISPENSES HIS LIFE INTO MINE!”
“You attract people through the lens of how you see people.”
  2. You have to accept who you really are without God.

4 “In You” Realities:

  1. In yourself, you are nothing.
    Galatians 6:3 NKJV
For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he
    deceives himself.
  2. In yourself, you know nothing.
    1 Corinthians 8:2 NKJV
And if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he knows nothing yet as
    he ought to know.
  3. In yourself, you have nothing.
    1 Corinthians 4:7 TPT
For what makes a distinction between you and someone else? And
what do you have that grace has not given you? And if you received it
as a gift, why do you boast as though there is something special
    about you?
  4. In yourself, you can do nothing.
    John 15:5 NKJV
“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in
him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”

3. You have to accept who you really are with God.

4 “In Christ” Realities:

  1. In Christ, you are a son or daughter of God.
    Ephesians 1:5-6 TPT
For it was always in his perfect plan to adopt us as his delightful
children, through our union with Jesus, the Anointed One, so that his
tremendous love that cascades over us would glorify his grace—FOR
THE SAME LOVE HE HAS FOR HIS BELOVED ONE, JESUS, HE
HAS FOR US. And this unfolding plan brings him great pleasure!
    Ephesians 1:7-8 TPT
Since we are now joined to Christ, we have been given the treasures
of redemption by his blood—the total cancellation of our sins—all
because of the cascading riches of his grace. This superabundant
grace is already powerfully working in us, releasing within us all forms
    of wisdom and practical understanding.
  2. In Christ, you have the mind of God.
    1 Corinthians 2:14 NKJV
But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God,
for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they
    are spiritually discerned.
    1 Corinthians 2:16 NKJV
For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?”
But we have the mind of Christ.
  3. In Christ, you are an heir to the Kingdom.
    Queen Elizabeth’s Privileges:
    • Doesn’t need a driver’s license
    • Doesn’t need a passport
    • Doesn’t have to pay taxes
    • Has her own personal ATM in Buckingham Palace
    • Can never be arrested
    • Has to sign off on all new laws made by parliament
    • Can pardon criminals
    • Has the power to declare war
    • Receives around 85 million dollars a year to support monarchy
    Galatians 3:26-29 NLT
For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all
who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like
putting on new clothes. There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or
free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus. And now
that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You
are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.
  4. In Christ, you can now do things beyond yourself.
    1 Corinthians 1:26-30 TPT
Brothers and sisters, consider who you were when God called you to
salvation. Not many of you were wise scholars by human standards,
nor were many of you in positions of power. Not many of you were
considered the elite when you answered God’s call. But God chose
those whom the world considers foolish to shame those who think
they are wise, and God chose the puny and powerless to shame the
high and mighty. He chose the lowly, the laughable in the world’s
eyes—nobodies—so that he would shame the somebodies. For he
chose what is regarded as insignificant in order to supersede what is
regarded as prominent, so that there would be no place for prideful
boasting in God’s presence. For it is not from man that we draw our
life but from God as we are being joined to Jesus, the Anointed One.
And now he is our God-given wisdom, our virtue, our holiness, and
    our redemption.
