Sermon Notes

Matthew 6:9-13 NKJ
In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be
Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in
heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as
we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver
us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the
glory forever. Amen.
Eight Names of God:

  1. Jehovah Tsidkenu – The Lord Our Righteousness
  2. Jehovah M’kaddesh – The Lord Our Sanctifier
  3. Jehovah Shalom – The Lord Our Peace
  4. Jehovah Shammah – The Lord Our Presence
  5. Jehovah Jireh – The Lord Our Provider
  6. Jehovah Rapha – The Lord Our Healer
  7. Jehovah Nissi – The Lord Our Victory
  8. Jehovah Rohi – The Lord Our Shepherd
    Matthew 6:10 NKJ
“Your KINGDOM COME. Your will be done ON EARTH AS IT IS IN
    HEAVEN.”
    Romans 12:2 NKJ
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the
renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and
acceptable and perfect will of God.

Three Areas to Establish in Prayer:

  1. Kingdom of God’s Person
  2. Kingdom of God’s Purpose
  3. Kingdom of God’s Power
    Kingdom of God’s Person
    • Establishing the character of God inside you!
    Galatians 5:16-25 NLT
So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing
what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil,
which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit
gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature
desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you
are not free to carry out your good intentions. But when you are
directed by the Spirit, you are not under obligation to the law of
Moses. When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results
are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry,
sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish
ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and
other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that
anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God. But
the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace,
patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and selfcontrol. There is no law against these things! Those who belong to
Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful
nature to his cross and crucified them there. Since we are living by
the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.
    Ephesians 5:22-29 NLT
For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For a
husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church.
He is the Savior of his body, the church. As the church submits to
Christ, so you wives should submit to your husbands in everything.
For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the
church. He gave up his life for her to make her holy and clean,
washed by the cleansing of God’s word. He did this to present her to
himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other
blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault. In the same way,
husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies. For
a man who loves his wife actually shows love for himself. No one
hates his own body but feeds and cares for it, just as Christ cares for
    the church.

Three Things to Pray Regularly:

  1. Honesty
  2. Humility
  3. Honor
    Kingdom of God’s Purpose
    Ephesians 1:11 MSG
It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for.
Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his
eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall
PURPOSE he is working out in everything and everyone.
    Matthew 26:39 NLT
He went on a little farther and bowed with his face to the ground,
praying, “My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken
away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”
    Kingdom of God’s Power
    Ephesians 1:15-23 NKJ
Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your
love for all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making
mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and
revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding
being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling,
what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and
what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe,
according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in
Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right
hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and
might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this
age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His
feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is
His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
    • Praying for the anointing to be bold in your faith
    Acts 4:29-31 NKJ
“Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with
all boldness they may speak Your word, by stretching out Your hand
to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name
of Your holy Servant Jesus.” And when they had prayed, the place
where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all
filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with
    boldness.
