John 14:15-17 NCV
“If you love me, you will obey my commands. I will ask the Father,
and he will give you another Helper to be with you forever—the Spirit
of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it does not see him or
know him. But you know him, because he lives with you and he will
be in you.”
Things to Know About the Holy Spirit:

  1. Jesus’ MINISTRY didn’t start until He was filled with the HOLY
    SPIRIT.
    Luke 4:1 NKJ
Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan
and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness…
    Luke 4:18 NKJ
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to
preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the
brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of
sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed…”
  2. Your RELATIONSHIP with God is built through and dependent
upon your relationship with the PERSON of the HOLY SPIRIT.
    John 14:26 NKJ
“But the HELPER, the HOLY SPIRIT, whom the Father will send in
My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your
remembrance all things that I said to you.”
  3. For you to understand how to operate in the SUPERNATURAL
POWER of God, you must be BAPTIZED in the HOLY SPIRIT.
    Acts 1:4-5 NKJ
“And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not
to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father,
“which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized
with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many
    days from now.”
    Acts 1:8 NKJ
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon
you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea
and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
  4. After you receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, you enter into an
    entirely DIFFERENT LIFE WITH GOD!
    John 14:12 NKJ
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I
do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I
    go to My Father.”
Sensitive and Submitted to the Holy Spirit:

  1. The Holy Spirit reveals God’s will in our lives.
    1 Corinthians 2:9-11 NKJ
But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have
entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for
those who love Him.” But God has revealed them to us through His
Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man
which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the
    Spirit of God.
  2. The Holy Spirit is the voice of God.
    Romans 8:14 NKJ
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the Sons of
    God.
  3. The Holy Spirit is the power of God.
    1 Corinthians 2:4-5 NKJ
And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of
human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that
your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of
    God.
