When God Calls Your Name
POTENTIAL // the sum of who you are, what you can do, and what God can do through you that you haven’t done YET!
God put good stuff in you! You are made in the IMAGE OF GOD! You were made for something great! Even when life slams the door shut on one area of life, it’s not over. You may have been overlooked. Man may have voted you out. God may have even said, “Not yet.” But your potential is still alive in the Lord. There’s still more inside you & in front of you!
Acts 1:15-17 NIV
In those days Peter stood up among the believers (a group numbering about a hundred and twenty) and said, “Brothers and sisters, the Scripture had to be fulfilled in which the Holy Spirit spoke long ago through David concerning Judas, who served as guide for those who arrested Jesus. He was one of our number and shared in our ministry.”

“Therefore it is necessary to choose one of the men who have been with us the whole time the Lord Jesus was living among us, beginning from John’s baptism to the time when Jesus was taken up from us. For one of these must become a witness with us of his resurrection.”

So they nominated two men: Joseph called Barsabbas (also known as Justus) - and Matthias.

Then they prayed, “Lord, you know everyone’s heart. Show us which of these two YOU have chosen to take over this apostolic ministry, which Judas left to go where he belongs.”
How Can I Be Ready When God Calls My Name?
- GUARD My Potential. The devil hates you & hates the potential God has seeded in you. His plan is to steal, kill, & destroy the things of God before they EVEN START. We must guard our POTENTIAL from POLLUTION!

God is FANATICALLY committed to what’s going on in your HEART.

Galatians 6:7-9 NIV
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
We often see this as a THREAT, but it’s also an ENCOURAGEMENT. You will reap what you sow! Continue sowing & growing, so that when the Lord opens the door again, you are ready to reap. Don’t give up... keep growing!
