The Kingdom Culture

John 17:11 NCV“I am coming to you; I will not stay in the world any longer. But theyare still in the world. Holy Father, keep them safe by the power ofyour name, the name you gave me, so that they will be ONE, just asyou and I are ONE.”Galatians 3:28 NIVThere is neither Jew nor

John 17:11 NCV
“I am coming to you; I will not stay in the world any longer. But they
are still in the world. Holy Father, keep them safe by the power of
your name, the name you gave me, so that they will be ONE, just as
you and I are ONE.”
Galatians 3:28 NIV
There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there
male and female, for you are all ONE in CHRIST JESUS.
The nature of human culture is to elevate itself above another.
Genesis 11:1-9 NKJ
Now the whole earth had one language and one speech. And it came
to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in
the land of Shinar, and they dwelt there. Then they said to one
another, “Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They
had brick for stone, and they had asphalt for mortar. And they said,
“Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the
heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered
abroad over the face of the whole earth.” But the Lord came down to
see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. And the
Lord said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one
language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they
propose to do will be withheld from them. Come, let Us go down and
there confuse their language, that they may not understand one
another’s speech.” So the Lord scattered them abroad from there
over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city.
Therefore its name is called Babel, because there the Lord confused
the language of all the earth; and from there the Lord scattered them
abroad over the face of all the earth.
Matthew 24:7 NKJ
“For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom …”
Major shift: from earthly culture to Kingdom culture
Matthew 24:14 NKJ
“And this gospel of the KINGDOM will be preached in all the world as
a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”
2 Starting Points:

  1. Begin to value people regardless of nationality or culture.
    Philippians 2:1-4 NCV
Does your life in Christ give you strength? Does his love comfort you?
Do we share together in the spirit? Do you have mercy and kindness?
If so, make me very happy by having the same thoughts, sharing the
same love, and having ONE MIND AND PURPOSE. When you do
things, do not let selfishness or pride be your guide. Instead, be
humble and give more honor to others than to yourselves. DO NOT
BE INTERESTED ONLY IN YOUR OWN LIFE, BUT BE
INTERESTED IN THE LIVES OF OTHERS.
One of our challenges with the image of Christianity today is that we
emphasize spiritual salvation but not social salvation.
  2. Learn to love people who don’t love you.
    Matthew 5:43-48 NIV
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your
enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who
persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He
causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the
righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what
reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if
you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than
others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your
    heavenly Father is perfect.”
