of a sound mind.
John 14:27 NIV
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as
the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be
afraid.”
Psalm 91:1-3 NLT
Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the
shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my
refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. For he will
rescue you from every trap and protect you from DEADLY DISEASE.
Psalm 91:6-7 NLT
Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that
strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten
thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you.
Psalm 91:14-16 NLT
The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those
who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be
with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them
with a long life and give them my salvation.”

“I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of
Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?”
3 Things People of Faith Do in Times of Trouble:

  1. Focus on the promise instead of the problem.
    2 Corinthians 4:16-18 NKJV
    Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is
    perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our
    light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more
    exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the
    things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the
    things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not
    seen are eternal.
    Psalm 103:1-5 NKJV
    Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy
    name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits; who
    forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, who redeems
    your life from destruction, who crowns you with lovingkindness and
    tender mercies, who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that
    your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
    Isaiah 43:2 NLT
    “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go
    through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through
    the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not
    consume you.”
  2. Speak the Word in spite of your thoughts.

    CHOOSE.
  3. Remember God is fighting for you!
    Exodus 14:13-14 AMP
    Then Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid! Take your stand
    [be firm and confident and undismayed] and see the salvation of the
    Lord which He will accomplish for you today; for those Egyptians
    whom you have seen today, you will never see again. THE LORD
    WILL FIGHT FOR YOU WHILE YOU [only need to] KEEP SILENT
    AND REMAIN CALM.”

    “Do not be afraid of them; the Lord your God himself will fight for
    you.”
    Deuteronomy 20:4 NIV
    “For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you
    against your enemies to give you victory.”

    So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we
    lose? If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us,
    embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by
    sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn’t gladly and
    freely do for us? And who would dare tangle with God by messing
    with one of God’s chosen? Who would dare even to point a finger?
    The One who died for us—who was raised to life for us!—is the
    presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us. Do you think
    anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s
    love for us? There is no way!
