Overcoming Failure
1 John 5:4-5 NKJ
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the
victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who
overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of
God?
Romans 8:28 NKJ
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love
God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Ecclesiastes 7:20 GNT
There is no one on earth who does what is right all the time and
never makes a mistake.
“There is no doubt in my mind that there are many ways to be a
winner but there is really only one way to be a loser, and that is to
FAIL and not look beyond the FAILURE!” – Kyle Rote Jr.
“The single most important difference between champion achievers
and average people is their ability to handle REJECTION and
FAILURE.” – Tom Hopkins
How to Overcome Failure:
- See failure as temporary.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 NLT
That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our
spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are
small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that
vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the
troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that
cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the
things we cannot see will last forever. - Stop comparing yourself to others.
2 Corinthians 10:12 NIV
We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who
commend themselves. When they measure themselves by
themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not
wise.
Philippians 2:3-4 NIV
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility
value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but
each of you to the interests of the others. - Be willing to examine why you have failed, and accept the
responsibility to change.
FAILING BACKWARD FAILING FORWARD

Romans 8:31 NKJ
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be
against us?
Romans 8:35-37 NIV
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or
hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are
considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things WE
ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS through him who loved us.
- Never give up on what God has placed in your heart.
“Success is largely a matter of holding on after others let go.”
Proverbs 24:16 NIV
…for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again…
“There is something for you to start that is ordained for you to finish.”
– Myles Munroe
