Isaiah 9:6-7 NIV
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will
be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of
his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on
David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal
of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.
Revelation 1:12-18 NIV
I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I
turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and among the lampstands
was someone like a son of man, dressed in a robe reaching down to
his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. The hair on his
head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like
blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his
voice was like the sound of rushing waters. In his right hand he held
seven stars, and coming out of his mouth was a sharp, double-edged
sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance. When I
saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right
hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I
am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and
ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.”
Revelation 19:11-16 NLT
Then I saw heaven opened, and a white horse was standing there. Its
rider was named Faithful and True, for he judges fairly and wages a
righteous war. His eyes were like flames of fire, and on his head were
many crowns. A name was written on him that no one understood
except himself. He wore a robe dipped in blood, and his title was the
Word of God. The armies of heaven, dressed in the finest of pure
white linen, followed him on white horses. From his mouth came a
sharp sword to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron
rod. He will release the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty, like juice
flowing from a winepress. On his robe at his thigh was written this
title: King of all kings and Lord of all lords.
Revelation 5:11-12 NIV
Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering
thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand.
They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. In a
loud voice they were saying: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to
receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and
glory and praise!”
