We don’t need to learn how to be selfish. We need to be taught HOW TO LOVE!

TRUE, LASTING LOVE IS FOUND IN JESUS CHRIST

LOVE is a SELFLESS, sacrificial action focused on the well-being of others regardless of their response.

Romans 5:6-8 NLT
When we were UTTERLY HELPLESS, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed His GREAT LOVE for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.

1 John 4:9-10 NLT
God SHOWED how much HE LOVED US by sending His one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through Him.This is REAL LOVE—not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.

What Does God’s Love Prompt In Us?
1.) Love Responds

Galatians 2:20 NIV
I have been crucified with Christ and I NO LONGER LIVE, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who LOVED ME and GAVE HIMSELF for me.

1 John 4:16-17 NLT
We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in His love. God is love, and who LIVE IN LOVE LIVE IN GOD, and God lives in them. And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face Him with confidence because we LIVE LIKE JESUS here in this world.

Some people are simply looking for RELIEF not DELIVERANCE

Matthew 10:39 NLT
If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you GIVE UP YOUR LIFE for me, you will find it.

Loving God changes how we live & how we love!

1 John 4:19-20 NLT
We love each other because He loved us first. If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see.

What Does God’s Love Prompt In Us?
1.) Love Responds
2.) Love Retells

A reigning King deserves a PROCLAIMED story!

Luke 2:8-11;16-18 NLT
That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you GOOD NEWS that will bring GREAT JOY to ALL PEOPLE. The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! They hurried to the village and found Mary and Joseph. And there was the baby, lying in the manger. After seeing him, the shepherds TOLD EVERYONE what had happened and what the angel had said to them about this child. All who HEARD the shepherds’ story were astonished.

Romans 1:16 NLT
For I am not ashamed of this GOOD NEWS about CHRIST. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes – the Jew first and also the Gentile.

The gospel of Jesus isn’t just something to be BELIEVED; it’s also meant to be BROADCASTED, and YOU are the AMPLIFIER of the GOOD NEWS!

1 Corinthians 11:23-26 NLT
For I pass on to you what I received from the Lord himself. On the night when he was betrayed, the Lord Jesus took some bread and gave thanks to God for it. Then He broke it in pieces and said, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, he took the cup of wine after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people—an agreement confirmed with my blood. Do this in remembrance of me as often as you drink it.”

Luke 2:20 NLT
The shepherds went back to the flocks, GLORIFYING and PRAISING GOD for all they had heard and seen.
