From the biggest decisions we have to make to our smallest insecurities, we can always rely on the voice of God to guide us. In this message, learn what it means to tune your ear to His trustworthy voice…and how listening to Him can change your life forever.
Sermon Notes

John 10:2-5 NIV
The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.”

John 10:8-10 NIV
All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them.I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

John 10:14 NIV
“I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me

There is not in the world a kind of life more sweet and delightful than that of a continual conversation with God. Those only can comprehend it who practice and experience it.

– Brother Lawrence

THE SHEEP PRAYER
“God, you called me a sheep. Sheep don’t have much going for them, but they can hear. So, I ask that you would give me ears to hear what the Good Shepherd is saying to me today. Lead me, and I will follow. Close doors that need to be closed. Open doors that need to be opened, for Your glory and for my good. Give me wisdom to discern what is You and what is the Thief. Help me to cut out the noise to hear You more clearly. And give me the courage to obey, no matter what You say. Your ways are best. I am Your sheep. You are my Shepherd. I trust You. Amen.”

In this life, there are endless opportunities for offense and anger. Hurting people hurt people, and it can be easier to try and protect ourselves from this hurt rather than engage it from a place of love. However, when we understand our place in Christ—how much He loves us, and how that affects our identity—our love for people comes from a deeper place. In this message, we learn that there’s a direct connection between how we love people and how people experience God. Lean in as we learn what it looks like to love each other, and ourselves, from a higher understanding of the Gospel. Popular culture tells us that being served is the ultimate signal of honor. The higher we climb on the social ladder, the more we subconsciously seek to be served. But the King of Heaven turned that culture dynamic on it’s head. From washing the feet of the disciples, to His commitment to the cross for our redemption, God in the flesh used His power to become the greatest servant. Jesus—who was fully God, and fully man—intentionally served those He loved. And because He did, we can too! Tune in and learn the power behind true service.
