John 8:30-36 ESV
As he was saying these things, many believed in him.

John 8:30-36 ESV
So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE.”

John 8:30-36 ESV
They answered him, “We are offspring of Abraham and have never been enslaved to anyone. How is it that you say, ‘You will become free’?”

John 8:30-36 ESV
Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”

John 8:31-32 ESV
“If you ABIDE in my word, you are truly my DISCIPLES, and you will know the TRUTH, and the truth will set you FREE.”

Eleutheroò(Greek) // to cause someone to be freed from domination

John 8:31-32 JSV (Johnson Standard Version)

  1. Choose our SOURCE of Truth

“If you call a dog’s tail a leg, how many legs does it have?”

Abraham Lincoln

Isaiah 40:8 NIV
The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 NIV
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Psalm 92:13 NKJV
Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.

John 8:44 NIV
You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Maybe you made a decision to follow Jesus today, or maybe you’re curious what life with Him is all about. Wherever you are on your journey, we invite you to share with us so we can help you discover your next step.

The faith of Christians around the world rises and falls on the answer to one question: “Is Jesus God?” For thousands of years, this debate has remained at the center of intellectual and religious conversations. Many admit that Jesus existed, and some even say He was a great prophet, but whether or not He is God has implications within church circles and beyond. In this sermon, we explore what Jesus said and did to prove that He was, in fact, God, and why that is beautiful news for you, me, and everyone around you. Each of us has fallen short. As humans, it's part of our natural, broken nature. Jesus knows better than anyone what our hearts are capable of. And when a group of religious leaders tried to corner Him to discredit His pure nature of holiness, He set the record straight—not by condemning the accused, but by extending grace. In this sermon, encounter the heart of Christ, who wants each of us to receive the mercy, forgiveness, and freedom He offers from sin and shame.
