A House Of Prayer

by Dennis Rouse
Before there was any land owned, before more than 140 nations gathered, before there were multiple campuses, there were simply two people who felt God calling them to plant a church in Gwinnett County, Georgia. Through constant, earnest, faith-filled prayer—and most importantly, a faithful God—Victory Church was born. In this conversation, we reflect on the pivotal prayers our Founding Pastors, Dennis and Colleen Rouse, prayed as they answered the call to ministry. Tune in to find both encouragement and a challenge to continue living a lifestyle of fasted prayer, trusting the same God who is faithful to finish the good work He began in each of us.

Our vision is to be a house of prayer who fulfills Acts 1:8 by making disciples of Jesus through: building families, transforming communities, reconciling cultures and impacting nations.

John 15: 1-7 NIV
I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes[a] so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

Let's Pray

Maybe you made a decision to follow Jesus today, or maybe you’re curious what life with Him is all about. Wherever you are on your journey, we invite you to share with us so we can help you discover your next step.

Community is hardwired into our DNA because our God is, at His very core, relational. In fact, God cares so deeply about community that after creating the heavens, the earth, and everything in them—and calling it all good—He pauses and declares, for the first time, that something is not good: being alone. But if we’re honest, being in community isn’t always easy. So why does the bible continue to point us to doing life with others at church and home? Tune in to this sermon as we go to God’s word to get the answers and encouragement to pursue life His way—which is always the best way!

Scripture tells us that without vision, we perish. When we don’t know where we’re going, it’s easy to drift—losing direction and purpose along the way. In this message, we’re diving into God’s vision for every believer and how it comes to life through our church family here at Victory. Whether you’ve called Victory home for decades or you’re just discovering it, you’ll hear the heart behind our local church and how God may be inviting you to co-labor with Jesus in a fresh way.
