RETREAT DROP OFF/CHECK-IN:
- Norcross location: Check-In begins at 5:30pm on Friday, March 31st at the Student Building located at 5985 Financial Dr, Norcross, GA 30071.
- Hamilton Mill location: Check-In begins at 5:30pm on Friday, March 31st at the Children & Youth Building located at 3015 Pucketts Mill Rd, Buford, GA 30071.
- Norcross location: You can pick up your student at 3:30pm on Monday, April 3rd at the Main Building located at 5905 Brook Hollow Pkwy, Norcross, GA 30071.
- Hamilton Mill location: You can pick up your student at 3:30pm on Monday, April 3rd at the Children & Youth Building located at 3015 Pucketts Mill Rd, Buford, GA 30071.
What is the refund policy?
We will gladly issue a refund for notifications at least 14 business day prior to the event. After that point, we will have made payments to many of our contractors, vendors and retreat site based on the number registered. If you are within the 14 day window, please consider offering your registration to another student.
Are scholarships or any type of financial assistance?
We do understand how cost can impact a family’s decision for their student to attend. With that financial assistance is on a need only basis, and it’s availability is solely dependent on donations made to the event. We at times receive donations to the ministry for students in need from those in the congregation. When that happens, we can then pass some assistance on to the student(s). This is again based on need and availability of funds, so there is NO guarantee that funds will be available. Furthermore, we give financial assistance of 50% of the total registration cost. This helps us to be able to assist more families. Please contact the event organizer for additional questions.
I made a deposit online. Can I make my additional payment(s) online?
No. Eventbrite does not allow partial payment as it sells tickets. So any remaining payments must be made in person at any CAPITOL service. If you are unable to make it to a CAPITOL service before the trip, you can pay your remaining balance at check-in. Students will not be allowed to attend without full payment of the registration fee.
When is my last day to register?
The last day to guarantee your spot is Wednesday, March 29th. We will accept registrations after this date but there is no guarantee that spots will be available.
I registered my student, but I noticed there was no question regarding parental consent. Is that required?
Yes. We do require a consent form to be complete PRIOR to the student being allowed on the bus. These can be picked up at any CAPITOL service. They will also be distributed to all students at CAPITOL service the two Wednesdays prior to retreat. Lastly, if we do not have one on file for your student, you will be asked to complete one at check-in.
What about my student’s medication?
On the day of registration we have an onsite nurse’s station. If your student requires accountability for their medication you will be able to drop if off to the nurse at that time. During the camp the nurse is set up at all meal times and services in efforts of connecting with your student for medication usage. When you come to pick up your student you can pick up any unused medication from the staff at that time. Medication dropped off by parent to the nurses station will ONLY be returned to an adult.

Can I drop my student at the campground or meet you there?
Because of the layout and set up that we have, we will NOT be able to accommodate an at site registration. You will need to have your student arrive at the Norcross or Hamilton Mill campus to take the buses.
What are the lodging assignments?
All the cabins are separated by gender; hence, all girls will be in one cabin with female leaders and the same for the boys. The students are grouped by their small group.
Will I be able to contact my student while they are there?
You are welcome to send your student with a cell phone that you can use to reach them while they are away, however cell reception may be spotty. Students are encouraged to turn phones and electronic devices off during service times. Also, your student is solely responsible for all items including items of value (cell phones, iPods, wallets, purses, etc.). We are not liable for any loss of stolen items.
My student has special needs; can they still participate?
We love to partner with families of students with special needs for many of our on church campus events. Because of the nature of the retreat, we ask that you contact us PRIOR to registering your student so that we can work with you to create special arrangements.
Can parents come?
All of our leaders have completed CAPITOL leader applications, background checks (as required of Victory World Church) and are already acclimated to the culture at THE CAPITOL. Unless you have completed this process and are a CAPITOL leader at the time that we leave for retreat, parents are not allowed to attend HS Retreat.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
If you register for one student and decide to offer it to another, please let us know at least 7 business days before the event to allow for all of the necessary updates to take place for lodging, etc. If you qualify for a limited edition retreat t-shirt, that t-shirt is transferable to the new student attending but the size that was indicated at the time of registration will be what is provided.
Can I update my registration information?
Yes. Please contact the organizer with the updated information at least 7 business days prior to the event.
Where do I drop my student off?
Great question! If you are located at the Norcross campus, doors open on Friday March 31st at 5:30pm at the Student building. 5985 Financial Drive, Norcross, GA 30071
If you are at Hamilton Mill Campus, you will drop your student at the VHM Chapel at 5:30pm. 3015 Pucketts Mill Rd. Buford, GA 30519
Where do I pick my student up?
If you are located at the Norcross campus, pick-up will be at the Main Building lobby at 3:30pm on Sunday, April 3rd.
If you are at Hamilton Mill Campus, pick-up will take place at the same location you dropped your student off at 3:30pm on Sunday, April 3rd.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Your printed ticket is NOT required.
How soon can I expect to hear back from the event organizer regarding my questions?
We welcome your questions! Because this can be a very busy season, please allow up to 72 hours for a reply.
