Community Outreach
Norcross Cooperative Ministry
This Mercy Team provides volunteers to assist the Coop in ministering to our community. Located just down Mitchell Road, a little over a mile from Victory, this is a great place to serve the people in our locale. The Coop's mission and purpose is to "Help those in crisis by collaborating with the community to offer programs and services that transform lives through the love of Christ." Many families in this community are living on the edge, struggling each day to provide for the basic needs of their families. They are the "least of these", that Jesus talked about us serving in Matthew Chapter 25.
When these neighbors come through our doors at Norcross Co-op, they have lost hope. Our call is to minister to these people, showing them the love of Christ in very tangible ways. We offer prayer, a listening ear, food, referrals, clothing, support classes, financial aid, and the assurance that someone cares about them.
Opportunities to serve
There are so many ways you can be involved in this important ministry and outreach to our community.
First and most importantly, please pray for Norcross Cooperative Ministry. Pray that we as staff, Board and volunteers would be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit and that God’s will be done in this ministry. Pray for those we serve, that God would bless their lives and that hearts would be drawn to Him. Pray for resources for NCM, financial, food, and volunteers.
Volunteer – There are many opportunities to serve:
- Client intake volunteer
- Clothing closet volunteer
- Front office volunteer
- Prayer partners
- Job ministry volunteer
- Marketing/PR volunteer
- Conduct a neighborhood food drive
- Assist with Christmas project

- Macaroni and cheese
- Canned fruit
- Spaghetti and Spaghetti sauce
- Jelly
- Instant Jello/Pudding
- Rice
