Surrendering to God for Healing

For several years, I suffered from severe allergies to most foods, which forced me to follow an extremely strict diet. Since my condition was neither terminal nor physically painful, I didn't complain. I just accepted it as an inconvenience and dealt with it as part of my life. However, it made traveling very difficult for me. After one especially difficult vacation, I finally relinquished my condition to God. I asked Him to forgive me for not wanting to "inconvenience" Him with my non-life-threatening ailment. After all, God delights in demonstrating His love for us, and He especially longs to heal His children. By refusing to "bother" Him, I had effectively rendered Him unable to display His healing power in my life.

Almost immediately after I surrendered myself to God and asked for Him to perform a miracle in me, I literally felt all the allergy symptoms leave my body.

I am now able to eat any food I wish without the use of medication.

God heard my prayer and healed me, and I continue to give all the glory to Him. Sometimes we try to manage situations on our own, without seeking Him. Or we think that our problems are too trivial or insignificant to worry Him with. The truth is, God is concerned with every little detail in our lives, and He is overjoyed every time we come to Him in faith, trusting Him for whatever we need.
